Pat Robertson says it's okay to divorce your spouse if they have Alzheimers
http://www.usatoday.com/life/television/news/story/2011-09-15/pat-robertson/50412904/1

<snip>
Religious broadcaster Pat Robertson told his 700 Club viewers that divorcing a spouse with Alzheimer's is justifiable because the disease is "a kind of death."

During the portion of the show where the one-time Republican presidential candidate takes questions from viewers, Robertson was asked what advice a man should give to a friend who began seeing another woman after his wife started suffering from the incurable neurological disorder.

"I know it sounds cruel, but if he's going to do something, he should divorce her and start all over again, but make sure she has custodial care and somebody looking after her," Robertson said.
<snip>

How awfully Christian of him, to advocate dumping one's spouse when they need their partner the most.

3. Make sure a HUSBAND has somebody to look after an ailing WIFE?

Isn't that a spouse's JOB, bozo? It's OK, as long as he hires a sitter so that he can take out his girlfriend? Stick her in a home and move on with his life as if she's dead? Unbelievable.

6. I wonder if the shoe was a pump instead of a work boot...
Stand by your man or leave him in times get tough.

What part of for better or worse doesn't he understand. I mean that is the Christian way, isn't it...

9. "in sickness and in health" says nothing about DEMON POSSESSION
and we all know that's what Alzheimer's really is.

( :sarcasm: for the (geeze, what's the word?) impaired -- both my parents were afflicted, and my father died, of Alzheimer's)

13. Forget "to honor 'til death do us part" -- go ahead & covet all the sex you want.
You're past the age for abortions, so just let your Johnson guide your morals.

is beginning to exhibit signs of this awful disease and Pat's looking ahead to greener, and younger, pastures?

17. with a face like his, you gotta know his nutz are just as shriveled
What a perversion of Christianity. I guess if your spouse goes bancrupt, you can divorce them due to the "prosperity" clause in all of Jesus' teachings.

I would have to think "Jesus puked" after that one.
