New CNN Poll: GOP divided over tea party movement

<snip>The poll indicates that demographically, tea party Republicans are more likely to be male, older, and college educated, with non-tea party Republicans more likely to be younger, less educated, female, and less likely to say they are born-again or evangelical. Both groups are predominantly white.

A little bit of education is a dangerous thing
Smart enough to be able to read the ballot, but too dumb to see through the advertising directing them to the ballot.

But whether they were educated is doubtful.

1) How many classes did they miss
2) They never outgrew that twenty-something me me me complex
3) I bet they were the liquored-up face-painters and the football games with the foam finger.

9. Many people come out of college trained but not educated
That is, they know how to do a specific job, but they have no intellectual interests or curiosity and forgot everything non-job related right after they passed the test on it.

can't they spell and why do they have such ignorant opinions.

On Edit: In my original post I spelled it "measley," which was self-undercuttingly ironic either in a hilarious or in a pathetic way. So I guess the 'Baggers don't have Spell Check on their signs and I just don't use it.

21. Educated sociopaths, I go to school with some of them.
They are disconnected socially, show little emotion and the world circle around them. They are quite brilliant but lack people skills or sense of "community".

23. A lot of engineer-types and accountant-types are RW nuts.
Probably because the kind of personality that is drawn to those fields is a person with a very concrete and black-and-white thinking that is low in imagination and empathy.
