Riffing (Not Copy Catting) Off Of The Democratic Convention Site Thread... A Question...
If they could do this all over again, and I know these decisions are made years in advance, but just looking at it now...

What American city personifies what's at stake in the upcoming election?

What city could be used as both a backdrop of what a future Republican society might look like, and yet has some evidence of the possibility of renewal and rebirth in a nationally supported Democratic Administration?

I nominate Detroit!

You could have films during prime-time at the convention decrying the destruction of our manufacturing base, and at the same time show what happens when government comes in to reverse those trends.

Any other ideas?

1. Detroit is what first came to mind more me, too.
Do we HAVE to go to NC? Who chose that, anyway -- do you know?

3. According To This...
The Democratic National Convention is a series of presidential nominating conventions held every four years since 1832 by the United States Democratic Party.<1> They have been administered by the Democratic National Committee since the 1852 national convention. The primary goal of the Democratic National Convention is to nominate and confirm a candidate for President and Vice President, adopt a comprehensive party platform and unify the party.

2. Dems should hold convention in Green Bay WI, and Repubs in Laredo, Texas.
