They don't sense our urgency, do they?
I don't get the impression that Republicans are in any hurry to get people to work. Labor has never been their concern. And if a corporation goes belly-up, why would they be concerned if they can't afford to pay a campaign donation?

I just can't believe this situation is happening where the Republicans are rushing us into a Depression. It should be about jobs. The rich have had enough tax breaks to get the economy started and they have failed. It's time for drastic action. It's time to do it without them.

1. There is never enough money
for some people.

Life is nothing but an endless contest of conquests. Well I have a message for these greedy sons of a dog...he who dies with the most toys is just as dead as he who dies with the least.

2. I really do get the impression that the rich feel that a depression is just
another opportunity to make a buck.

Let's face it, the Republicans are holding out because they know that all the money the rich save will turn into campaign donations.

4. Yah, many see it as a chance to get deals.

6. It's pathetic that Obama has to give them further inducements to create jobs.
Soon he'll be giving them tax credits to keep them from laying them off. And when he does, what's the difference between this and a work program?

3. Plenty of the republicans I know are pretty self centered. Many of them just want to win.

5. They Smell Power...
That's all that matters...and whatever it takes to get that power, so be it. Your job means nothing since you don't write the big checks. The GOTB, with the help of this administration's ineptitude, to put their goal of total power within reach. If it means sucking the economy dry, it's Obama who gets the blame, not them.

7. That's because if the economy turns around, Obama easily wins in 2012.
The only hope the R's have for winning the White House is for the economy to remain terrible.

Kind of why the stimulus was a massive screw-up by team Obama.
