Extreme wealth stratification, the RW rationale for it ?
Can someone give me a link or a brief paragraph on the RW rationale for the current wealth stratification in this country ? I know they think it's grand that more and more of the wealth is going to the top 2%. Trickle up economics, truly.

1. It boils down to this. No poor guy ever gave me a job. The rich might have mercy on us.

2. They Are Good People Who Earned It By Hard Work, Sir
As opposed to worthless, shiftless types who only want to punish success and prevent anyone from becoming wealthy, and live off the hard work of investors and bosses....

10. Didn't Calvin also come up with the "pre-ordained" doctrine?
It doesn't matter what we do in life: we are all "pre-ordained" to Heaven and Hell?

I often thought that was a bizarre notion...

6. All very good answers. Here's a few more:
Ayn Rand.

Social Darwinism.

'Law of the Jungle.'

'He who has the Gold makes the Rules.'

Their need for an aristocracy, King of Kings.

The devil made them do it. No, really.

9. I can only imagine, but I recall a TV special on the DeBeers diamond family...
They actually believe god wanted them to be rich and to control the world's diamond market and work their miners hard for little money.

God wants them to be fascists...it's god's plan, and we-"liberals"-are interfering with it.
