Presidential Aspirations

Because I have a brain pan airy
I just may vote for big Rick Perry
Chest puffed out like a cassowary
He was once Ag Secretary

Why then should I of him be wary?

I’ve read he was an Eagle Scout.
Reads his Bible, he’s real devout!
Prays to God in times of drought.
He’s born again! I have no doubt!

With him we’ll get no bank bailout!

As an Aggie enrollee
He earned a tough Ag Sci Degree!
And while it’s true he averaged "C"
Here he’s no different than you and me

A self-made man! No pedigree!

To our malaise he’ll bring solution!
He won’t wince over an execution!
He’ll give us prayer! Not evolution!
Who minds a little air pollution?

So plain-spoken! No circumlocution!

His hair is great! He’s presidential!
And when he prays, he’s reverential
To the old Tea Party, he’s deferential
And as Texas Gov, he’s experiential!

Yup, to me he’s the quintessential
