When the mass people who buy shit can no longer buy shit it makes for a really bad economy. The rich have the most wealth by percentage than nearly anytime in this country's history. And the unemployment is over 9%.

2. I make a good living

My wife and I both work and have decent HH Income. I drive a 2001 paid off car (Honda Civic) and she drives a nearly paid off 2004 Honda Odyssey mini-van. We have a modest house in a modest neighborhood. We don't travel much and don't waste much money. Normal cost of living is A LOT! Energy prices, utilities, daycare/nanny, insurance, all cost a fortune. I really sympathize with people who are on tough times. I live in South FLorida and I know people who don't run the air conditioning which is horrible HOT this time of year. Just normal cost of living is very high. Of course the rich have no problem paying utils, insurance, etc.
