Anyone find it amusing we are speaking of waste and fraud at last
Edited on Mon Sep-19-11 06:06 PM by jpgray
But in regard to Medicare? When you think of the awesome rents and gashes inflicted by the fraud and waste of the financial industry, can tightening the bolts and agonizing over every leak be anything but a farce when practiced on one of the drier and sounder corners of the ship? To compare like to like, where is the focus on the shameful waste guarded jealously by the pharmaceutical industry? The unspeakable fraud and intimidation practiced by insurance cartels in every state? In the end Medicare costs cannot be lowered reasonably or with humanity unless the larger problem of soaring health care costs is addressed, and that means addressing waste and fraud in the private sector, where goods and services for health care are purchased.

This is a fucking farce.

1. If they really wanted to slash waste and fraud...
...there'd be talk about getting rid of the "War on Drugs", Prison for non violent offenses, and taxpayers paying twice and three times for pharmaceuticals. What about the Trillions in "loans" that have been given to multi billionaires to keep them afloat when the common person is struggling to stay alive and feed their families? It is all bullshit. And I for one and tired of it.

3.  'it is proper during wars of choice to deliver pallates
of cash into unknown hands with no accounting, but if you spend one dime too many on Grandma, you are chump on ice' that's the attitude. Look forward not back, forget the fraud, forget the theft, and share the sacrifice.
Hypocrites all of them.

4. DOJ is really going after fraud in medicare
someone got 50 years last week, the partner got 40. They stole $205Million! The week before they busted an $85Million fraud. Little here, little there, we might get decent health care for our dollars instead of fraud and waste.
