In Canada we'll have a lot of insert-colour-here insert-party-here for people who nominally align with one party but whose views lean somewhat towards another - for example, "red Tories" for Conservatives who have views that lean towards the Liberals, or "orange Liberals" for Liberals who are at the left end of that party and sound more like NDPers.

I don't think I'd actually heard of "blue Republicans" (or "red Democrats") before, just "(R/D)INO" or similar terms.
