Convicts being invited on teevee shows to complain about how innocent they are? Because my experience in talking to folks in jail is that those places are chock full of innocent people! Should I put in a reservation for my 10 or 15 minutes now, on the possibility that I will someday be convicted of a crime in open court with full access to adequate counsel, and I may want to whine about how unfair it all is.

14. It disappoints me greatly that MSNBC hosts like LO'D ...

deign to give air time to people like Delay. And if you absolutely must give him a platform, why not just ask him about his trial and his sentence? There is no reason to ask him about current politics; he's not in it any more. In the immortal words of G.W. Bush, "Who cares what he thinks?"

I wish we would stop spending 75% of our time putting these people in the spotlight each and every night. It's why I stopped watching this stuff more than a year ago. I've tuned in the last few days to see the post-Tucson coverage -- and I'm out again. I just think what they are doing is a huge mistake.
