Any woman ( hell! A straight woman for that matter) knows for a FACT that bullying does not just happen to gay teenagers. Someone should send him a copy if Queen Bees and Wannabees by Rosaline Wiseman so he can see just how much bullying is part of the fabric of jr high school is for EVERY adolescent girl in America. It's not a minority - it's just amped up to a whole new level from slam books in the early / mid 1980's to entire web sites dedicated to 13 year old girls calling each other fat, ugly, sluts. My niece is in middle school in Northern NJ and rest assured: it happens to black, straight, 13 year old girls too. I'm thrilled we have the anti bullying law in NJ this year. Now the school doesn't have to deal with me and my sister screaming in their faces this year to do something - because Ayana was punched in the head and had her tray flipped on her in the cafeteria.
