"Common knowledge the Troy didn't shoot anyone."

1. My only problem is that they are not executing all three
Three people are in the process of committing a felony assault. This includes pistol whipping the victim with a weapon.

They are interrupted by an off duty police officer. One of them murders the police officer with the weapon.

They are all equally guilty of murder.

2. Can't watch Youtube where I am at the moment, ...
... So I don't know if the video addresses this or not. While I agree this execution should not go forward (since I am 100% opposed to capital punishment, I don't believe any executions should go forward), and am appalled that it apparently will go forward, I haven't yet seen anything from what I've read about the case that convinces me that Troy Davis didn't do it. Yes, i am aware of the lack of physical evidence, and I am aware of the seven of nine of whom it is said later recanted (although none of the persons recanting did so in court where their recantations could be cross=examined, but rather they all did it by affidavits which the judge in the case apparently found significant problems with). But I am also aware that Troy Davis was convicted of another murder that same day, and that ballistics tests showed that the bullet that killed Officer McPhail came from the same gun as did the bullet in the other case. So far as I've read at least, no one has cast any doubt on the other verdict, so that is a pretty strong piece of evidence.

Much as I oppose capital punishment, in Davis' case as in any other, I am simply not prepared to declare with any certainty that Troy Allen Davis did not commit the crime for which he is about to be executed.

3. You Don't Have To Declare Him Innocent Or Not Guilty... It's About The Overwhelming Doubt...
The execution of Troy Davis, a Georgia death row inmate scheduled to die in less than a week, should be halted because of "pervasive, persistent doubts" about his guilt, said William S. Sessions, a former federal district judge in Texas and FBI director under Presidents Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton, in a sharply-worded editorial on Thursday.

"Serious questions about Mr. Davis' guilt, highlighted by witness recantations, allegations of police coercion, and a lack of relevant physical evidence, continue to plague his conviction," Sessions wrote. He urged a state pardons board to commute the sentence to life in prison.

The unusual plea from Sessions, which appears in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, is the latest high-profile call for clemency for Davis, whose looming execution has become a lightning rod for national and international criticism. Among those who have called for a halt to the execution, scheduled for Sept. 21 at 7 p.m., are Pope Benedict XVI, former President Jimmy Carter and the leadership of the NAACP and Amnesty International.

4. As I said, I don't think this execution should go foward...
... what I was reacting to was the statement in your headline, to wit: "Troy Davis Was At The Scene Of The Shooting But Did Not Kill Anyone." All I am saying is that the ballistics evidence against him is pretty strong, so I really don't know how anyone can definitively say he did or did not kill Officer McPhail.
