The juxtaposition of the Texas and Georgia death houses on this day has been on my mind
In Texas, we have a man who is a prime example of why the death penalty was written and remains the law of the land.

In Georgia, we have a study in why the risk of executing an innocent man should never be overlooked, no matter how small.

As I write this, both executions have been delayed.

In Texas, it seems, it is pretty much as animated as it is at most any other executions. In Georgia, it is very different, and rightly so.

I am opposed to the death penalty in all cases. Unequivocal.

But the juxtaposition of *these* two cases' potential final chapter is almost eerie. Maybe they can, together, start some kind of national dialogue.

That would at least give some reason that the man in Texas was ever given life in the first place.

7. There's not much about the (delayed) death of Troy Davis there...
but people are pretty satisfied about the Texas execution.

8. I don't bother to look anymore
I expected a bunch of 14 year olds or some mutants saying Obama had the white guy executed but is going to save the black guy.....shit like that.

Yahoo is a wasteland.
