Troy Davis' Last Statement:He told the McPhail family that he did not kill their son...
Edited on Wed Sep-21-11 10:23 PM by Joe the Revelator
Begged them to keep trying to find the truth by looking deeper into this case and that he did not have a gun.

No death bed confession.

6. Turn your TV on. The witnesses to the murder have repeated that statement 4 times now.

9. I don't watch TV.
I was hoping for an article, I'll just wait, I'm sure one will be posted shortly.

13. Check google
Hell, MSNBC and CNN have been carrying this live since 6pm. MSNBC preempted their lineup and reruns, cancelled guests to cover it. Surely there is an article being typed up by now.

(Also why I gave you the link to Amy Goodman, who has been on the air live for hours now - and still going strong with her coverage)

2. If they think this execution will make them feel better or ease their pain
I think they will find themselves sorely disappointed.

8. Something tells me that they will be unpleasantly surprised
at how little satisfaction this will bring them.

No less given that another man had repeatedly bragged about being the killer (Redd Coles) yet walks the street amongst them.

10. I have heard other murder victim families interviewed on this subject before
Edited on Wed Sep-21-11 10:34 PM by bluestateguy
That is, they were interviewed some years after their family member's killer was executed.

Did they feel better? Did they get that closure they so badly wanted?

No, they said, they did not. They wondered if the whole execution ordeal was even worth it at all.

I wish I could remember names and where I saw this report, but it was interesting.

12. That is where my comments came from
Even those who support the DP talking about how it never gave them the closure they thought it would.

14. K'gthress ikihr-ick K-K-SZHkk-kgrasszzshu'un..... there are NO FUCKING WORDS IN ENGLISH!!!
Or ANY language on Earth!

I wish I could type my feelings. They would hurt everyone in this forsaken world. There is nothing but this;

If the innocence of this man is known to you and you failed, If the guilt of this man was in doubt and you were among those who bade death upon him, your life is now in the penumbra of his death.

There may be no 'heaven' or 'hell', but there sure the fuck is a catalog.

God DAMN these assholes. Well, 'it is done'.

'Cataloged'

15. It is my hope that justice for Troy Davis will finally prevail, that those
involved in this never get a moment's sleep or security, that we end this barbarism now. :(

16. He said the same thing during his sentencing
And no one cared then, either, at least no one who could have helped. I really just don't have the words.
