Rolando Cruz..

a five to 6 mintue read..Well worth the time.
Smart ass gang member who the cops and prosecutors wanted to get.
,,but he did not commit murder, but they wanted him anyway..

So they tried him twice.found him guilty twice
...later proved innocent.
Was on death row for a number of years.
Someone else did it.

from the two lines of the above link:

The public outcry from the Cruz case resulted in Governor George Ryan declaring a moratorium on the death penalty in Illinois, asserting that the system was "fraught with error"

On March 11, 2011, Illinois Governor Pat Quinn signed legislation abolishing the death penalty in Illinois into law.

1. The prosecutor or persecuter from DuPage is now a judge.
There's justice for you.

2. Justice in the U.S is not what many think

It is justice for the very rich, injustice for many otheres.

In the year 2009, more than 23 years after the fact, the cheif prosecutor publically said he was sorry for his mistake.

If you read this link, then you see he still thought he did the right thing with the info he had.
A real right wing asshole..Oh, and his apology was because he wanted to run for governor ...again..
and the guy who really did it was convicted of the murder the day before.

Even though the guy who really did it, admitted it during the time of the original prosecution, and this idiot ignored that
confession. Jim Ryan is his name.
