Napolitano: Disaster aid fund 'running on fumes'
Napolitano: Disaster aid fund 'running on fumes'

JOPLIN, Mo. (AP) -- Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano says the government's main disaster aid account is "running on fumes" and could be tapped out by early next week.

Napolitano says she's counting on Congress to provide more aid money because without the additional relief dollars, there will be delays in getting disaster projects approved.

She wouldn't say what arrangements the Federal Emergency Management Agency has made to prepare in the event the money runs out.

...

GOP conservatives in the U.S. House helped scuttle a plan for $3.7 billion in new disaster aid on Wednesday.

4. The hubbub was about embarrassing Obama on the world stage
and allowing Standard & Poors to whack him around a bit.. If the economy falters more, republicans can blame him for being ineffectual:(

5. So how many of these people will still vote for Republicans come the 2012 elections?
Imagine you are suffering and you vote for those who are causing your suffering......voting against your own interests, voting for those who could care less about them.............voting for those who keep you without medical care.........voting for those who keep you unemployed...........voting for those who don't like "your kind"..........voting for those who support the interests of the rich and powerful over yours........voting for those who lie to you..........voting for those who hate............voting for those who are the "real" threats to your civil liberties.........and voting for those who would just as soon see you as a slave to corporations or dead.......... How many will continue this voting insanity?
Lou
