The right is trying to deflect her "2nd amendment quip".
It was not a one time quip. Tough to spin these.
Can't claim these are metaphors or a regrettable gaffe.
She said that she believed Americans were preparing themselves for violent insurrection, and if she did not beat Harry Reid in the election then Americans should revolt and begin by assassinating Reid.
This is what the media should be asking about. This is not a crosshairs vs. surveyor mark issue.
There can be no room for alternate interpretation of these statements.
(imagine how cool it would be if we had a media that would really do their jobs)

"That tells me the nation is arming. What are they arming for if it isn't that they are so distrustful of their government? They're afraid they'll have to fight for their liberty in more Second Amendment kinds of ways?
"That's why I look at this as almost an imperative. If we don't win at the ballot box, what will be the next step?"

And in fact Thomas Jefferson said it's good for a country to have a revolution every 20 years.
I hope that's not where we're going, but, you know, if this Congress keeps going the way it is, people are really looking toward those Second Amendment remedies and saying my goodness what can we do to turn this country around? I'll tell you the first thing we need to do is take Harry Reid out."

This not for someone who's in the military. This not for law enforcement. This is for us. And in fact when you read that Constitution and the founding fathers, they intended this to stop tyranny. This is for us when our government becomes tyrannical...it's to defend ourselves. And you know, I'm hoping that we're not getting to Second Amendment remedies. I hope the vote will be the cure for the Harry Reid problems."
