WikiLeaks Donates $15K to Manning's Defense FundWikiLeaks has given $15,100 to help with the defense of Bradley Manning, the U.S. soldier accused of leaking explosive materials to the group. This donation brings the fund's total to well over $100,000, say its organizers.
Manning is now in solitary confinement in Virginia what many say are inhumane conditions, while WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange is under house arrest in London pending upcoming extradition hearings on sex-crimes charges.
"This donation from WikiLeaks is vital to our efforts to ensure Bradley receives a fair, open trial," said Mike Gogulski, a founder of the Bradley Manning Defense Network, in a statement as reported by Reuters.
