TN Republicans: The most important criterion for the next RNC chair is how many guns she/he owns.

Heard this morning on WPLN, Nashville's public radio station (www.wpln.org):

"When the Republican National Committee meets in Washington this Friday to elect a chairman, Tennessee will have three voting delegates. They’re united behind one candidate, and it’s not incumbent Michael Steele.

"Tennessee’s delegates say their first choice to lead the national GOP is Ann Wagner of Missourri. At a relatively subdued debate last week Wagner stood out by landing a few shots at Steele. Wagner, a one-time party co-chair, also said she owns 16 guns – more than the total of the rest of the field, including Steele, who owns zero."

As I have said here before, there are only three explanations for the Rethugs' gun fixation:

1) They were all raised by authoritarian parents to fear everything, or

2) They're guilty of multiple crimes (e.g., election theft here in TN) and want to escape justice, or

3) They have other "inadequacies" that causes them to covet long, hot gun barrels.

6. Agreed. Now that TN Rethugs have insured that we keep voting on hack-friendly voting equipment, ...

... things are just getting worse here. They couldn't find any traditional moderate Republicans to run for the legislature, so they (s)elected overt racists, pug-ugly jackals and Hooters girls instead. I told my legislator that I will no longer testify before the TN legislature because I do not recognize their legitimacy and have no way of knowing whether any of them were actually elected by, you know, the voters. They have no way of proving otherwise. They like it that way -- I sure as hell don't.

This state is going to hell in a hand-basket, a hand-basket filled with guns.
