They need a close election to keep everyone interested and the way things are going at the GOP debates by the time President Obama gets some ads on the air of what has been going on at the GOP debates it isn't going to be close.

President Obama will win by a landslide with any more debates like the last few. And there won't be any money in that for the media. Not enough anyway.

Which means a too obvious of an extremist like Perry has to go.
