Two clear goals stated from the beginning which I had no problem hearing about, get money out of politics and return to a system that regulates the banks as it was for decades before they rescinded Glass Steagal.

Not to mention, I think everyone can take a wild guess at what their goals are, considering WHERE they are and WHAT they are calling the movement 'Occupy Wall Street'. What did YOU think they were there for?

And everything that emanates from that corrupt system such as wars for profit and corruption in the mortgage industry, restoring our rights taken away by these criminals, under false pretenses.

You are free to make suggestions to them, they are getting plenty of them and are operating under a system similar to the way the FFs set up this country.

39. Give them time, they WILL do all of those things. You don't seem to

understand how this works. It is a movement, the protests are a small part of it. And in just one week it has grown way beyond what anyone expected. The reason for that is, that their premise for being their is understood across political lines.

If you mean what you say, then join them. Give them advice, they are asking for advice and would welcome it from someone who has the knowledge you have. Your ideas are good, so are theirs. But rather than criticize them without understanding what they are doing, help them.

They HAVE a coherent message. Thom Harmann understands their message, so does Amy Goodman, Keith Olbermann, the People of Spain, Britain, Michael Moore, Chris Hedges, Noam Chomsky, Jesse Jackson, the NYCFD, The Steelworkers' Union, the IWW, in just week they have attracted teh support of millions of people around the country and the world who DO hear their message and agree with it. I'm not sure why you don't understand why they are there. But if you are sincere in what you say, then help them.

They are planning concerts, eg, to make money for legal fees and food, and if suing a firm was the way to go, they have the backing of many lawyers right now, including the ACLU. Pretty good for a small number of people no one had heard about a week ago.

This is just the beginning. It is going to be a long, slow process. Everyone involved knows that. You seem to want instant results for something that took decades and billions of dollars to build up. So, you can either stand on the sidelines and criticize or get on board and help. Me, I plan to get on board. We've waiting for someone to do something for a decade now, and finally someone has taken the first step and I admire them for having the courage to do so.

Just the fact that you say 'they have no message' It isn't THEY, it is US. They threw out the ball that everyone has been waiting for. Now the rest is up to those of us who DO get it.

Amy Goodman, Keith Olbermann in a few words showed tonight that he gets it, Chris Hedges gets it, thousands of people who went to NYC for two weekends in a row get it, millions around the country get it, and now 27 other major cities get it enough to start their own occupations.

A majority of DUers get it, everyone I know in RL gets it, including Republicans, Independents and even people who don't vote. The people of Spain get it, the British get it, the Australians have sent their messages of support, the Unions get it. The NY City FD gets it, and even some of the Cops have said they get it.

But we KNOW that Wall St. gets it which is why they have ordered their puppets in Government to wall off the street they appear to think belongs to them. They definitely get it and they are afraid of it.

What I don't get is why YOU and a tiny minority, most of them on the very far right because even moderate Republicans have been to NYC, don't get it. It's pretty obvious to most people, including those it is aimed at.

This is a REAL PEOPLE'S movement. It is NOT a protest, it is a PROCESS. A week ago people like you were saying they would be long gone by this weekend. Wrong!

They are kids, they are young adults, they are middle-aged, they are elderly, they are white, African American, Hispanic, Indian. They are workers, nurses, teachers, doctors, construction workers, janitors, lawyers, students, unemployed, retirees. They are Americans, the 99% from whom most of the wealth of this country has been stolen.

This country is failing, the political system is broken, most of the people there know that nothing is going to be fixed by continuing to do what we have been doing. We gave the politicians a chance but not only have not fixed anything, they have refused to prosecute the criminals who brought this country to its knees. So, now finally, the people are waking up and realizing that in the end, it is up to them.

You can sit on the sidelines and throw rocks at those who are at least trying to do something and be part of the problem or you can join them and help them succeed. We've tried everything else, it is time for something new. And I don't see anyone else doing much, other than whine about corruption and no accountability, about stolen elections and the collapse of the economy, about the useless, cruel and failed wars we are fighting all over the globe, but I don't see anyone else getting out there and putting their bodies where their mouths are, until now.

I've been an unwitting party to a few class action lawsuits against Wall Street firms. The biggest settlement that ever came out of any of those suits was a 10% coupon off on the next mutual fund purchase from the firm that had been sued.
