If Obama were a teacher working under his performance driven Dept. of Education, he'd get a
failing grade for "below expectations". He'd have his funding cut off. He'd be at risk of losing his job.

But amazingly, dem party right-wingers are using a different standard for Obama, giving him a passing grade for just showing up. Maybe they don't care enough to correct him or hold him accountable for his behavior. Lazy administrators look the other way, mark A+ on the Obama report card and pass him on to the next term, where he'll be someone else's problem.

Now, some are suggesting that the anger at Obama can be explained as a subtle kind of racism

http://www.thenation.com/article/163544/black-president-double-standard-why-white-liberals-are-abandoning-obama

Defenders of the No-Obama-Left-Behind Act say half-white Obama shouldn't be held to any higher standard than any bunch of scurrilous, full-white SOBs who consequently screwed us over with the misguided notion that the rich shall save us. For those keeping track of scurrilous SOBs who worship the rich, they are Bush. And Clinton. And Bush. And Reagan.

Clinton played his part in the devastation. He enabled outsourcing millions of jobs, ushered in an era of wall street deregulation, and topped it off with cruel welfare reform.

Bush piled on top of that with more cash to the rich, more deregulation and a couple of wars to boot. Time is proving that these policies just made things worse.

Not to be out done, Obama granted amnesty for torture and corporate crime (happy days for oil execs and wall street crooks and CIA), flooded the rich with tax breaks, tax cuts, tax credits, tax rebates and bailouts, started a third goddamn war and just told us that we can pollute our way out of a bad economy by killing clean air legislation. He put more wall street right wingers in charge of jobs policy, education, economy, treasury. (Tim Geithner? Really? He's the best we can do?)

Things are getting a whole lot worse. We need a president who is a whole lot better.

Health care costs, wages, education costs, outsourcing of millions of jobs, corporate crime, all in crisis, and all demand someone better.

If people think Obama is no better than Bush

http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2011/09/majority-rate-obama-same-as-or-worse-than-george-w-bush/

it is because we elected Obama to fix things that he promised to fix, like

- prosecuting corporate crime
- stop spending on idiotic wars
- get health care costs under control
- end the outsourcing jobs to Asia.

Obama talked with passion about single payer health plans and supporting unions and getting tough with Wall Street.

It didn't mean a damn thing.

Obama is governing from the right. Just like Bush. Now he is faced with the consequences. The rich are richer, the poor are poorer and the economy is still fucked up. That's why people are struggling to find a difference between Obama and Bush.

If you are trying to pass the course by copying someone else's work, pick someone who wasn't the shittiest president of all time.

1. The Democrats should have ramrodded a total left wing agenda.
But they didn't. Because they couldn't. Not with as many bought out bastards on "our" side as there are. I think the President could have done better and should have done better but he's still achieved quite a bit. And I certainly would much rather have him than the opposition but it kind of sucks that there is only that choice.

2. It's the democratic party double standard the bothers me most...
teachers and workers are being assaulted for "performance" problems. Meanwhile Obama grants the rich and powerful a "get out of jail free" card.

Obama is banking on the fact that he is the more pragmatic of two evils. When millions of people get pissed off, Obama supporters throw more gas on the fire by calling us racist. If democrats want to kill every notion of an alternative political party, then they better start representing the non-rich. Otherwise, people WILL stay home out of anger and frustration. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy - do everything possible to poke liberals in the eye, and then whine and bitch about liberals not voting. People are tired of being used like pawns by the super rich.

This isn't the change we want or need. It's just pure bullshit. Democrats and republicans are working together to protect the gilded class of rich and powerful at the expense of the other 99%.
