A Woodstock paint store manager was arrested Monday night after allegedly smoking synthetic marijuana, pulling a gun on an employee during an argument and attempting to carjack a vehicle, Channel 2 Action News reported.
The incident occurred around 7 p.m. at a Sherwin-Williams on Main Street in Woodstock.
Woodstock police said Patrick Byrum, 33, had been smoking K2, synthetic marijuana, which is illegal in Georgia, inside the store. Police told Channel 2 that Byrum's argument about religion with a female coworker became a physical fight and he went to retrieve a gun from his car. The woman followed him, got the gun away from him, ran back inside the store and called 911, authorities said.
While police were en route, Byrum allegedly tried to get away by attempting to carjack a vehicle at the intersection.
He was covered in white paint when authorities reached the scene.
