NEW DELHI: US companies are looking at investing in sectors like energy, education, communications and infrastructure in India, thererby further deepening economic ties between the two countries.

"We are looking for markets (in India), partners so that we can have a win-win kind of relationship between India and US," an adviser to US Senator Jeanne Shaheen said here.

Chad Kreikemeier, who is leading a 13-member trade mission to India, said the two nations "have got to widen their range from energy, education, infrastructure to defence market".

The delegation comprises eight firms and educational institutions, including representatives from the Dartmouth College from New Hampshire.

3. Big Corps go where they can make money. India and China are IT,
They have no allegiance to the US, and will leave us all in the dust as they move on to greener pastures.

I foresee the US, in about 20 years, as a tourist destination. We will be a favorite spot for the Chinese and Indians; the jobs we can get will be in the service industry, catering to foreign tourists.

7. Directly funded by the tax breaks for the wealthy...
As you lose everything, this same crowd of elitists will be toasting your demise, as they step upon your back to increase their wealth.

Sickening.

13. If the US Corporations demand the US Government...
to invest in foreign infrastructure... they will! Just as, they have.

I don't find the title misleading at all.

"US shaken by massive earthquake", does that mean the government was shaken, or entities with the US borders? Just sayin'.

14. Yeah,
The "US" only provides assistance with these "investments". They're primarily perpetrated by the companies that used to be seen as the bedrock of USA's industry.
To console ourselves, let's compile a list of infrastructure assets that foreign investors have bestowed upon our nation. Lemmee see...........

12. Then what qualifies them as "US corporations"?
They don't pay taxes here.
They don't create jobs here.

19. No, not really. We only bail out corporate-people, not bodied-people.
Apparently, we only bail out entities that don't contribute to US revenue via taxes.

The motives behind this move are as obvious as the day is long. TPTB are getting ready to give Pakistan the Full Monty, AKA "We need to liberate them!"
