7. Something like that happened to me, BUT...it was under more difficult circumstances.

The guy I met at work (from "ABC" Corporation) could not speak plainly & I asked him at least four times, as tactfully as I could, what his name was. All I could hear was the beginning "J", a jumbled syllable following that, then what seemed to be an "o" at the end. I chose not to use his name during his visit.

But when he left, I escorted him to the engineers' office to introduce him for a brief time, then shook hands with him & said, "Well, Jello, it was a pleasure."

"What'd you call me?"

"Jello."

"No, no...it's "Gerald -- Ger-ald."
