What happens if Christie gets in the presidential race
and republicans find out he's just a bunch of hot air. What will they do then?

Not that I really care, it just would be kind of cool to see them all go down as flaming failures.

2. He is not running for 3 reasons
1. He is first term and it would look like the whole purpose of being Gov was a steppingstone
2. He knows that Obama ain't gonna be beat with the money he will have in his campaign
3. He is going to look like shit on the trail for days on end AND the fact that he was a political appointee by Bush (he was a lobbyist and a fundraiser with no court room time) as a DA.

3. As much as I loathe him....
..especially as a NJ resident, the fact is that he's nowhere crazy enough to win at the top of a national ticket. I believe that will change and he will be formidable in 2016.

What will happen is this next election the crazy will continue to dominate the GOP and they will throw the race to someone whose "time has come". Like in 1994 with Dole. This time it will be Romney. And like Dole he will lose because he will have to appease the crazies.

Then in 2016 they'll want to win so badly that they'll keep the crazies in check and Christie like Bush will be the guy that appears to not be crazy and who will win the nomination and be tough to beat for the Dems.
