Declaration of lasting HOPE.
It is now crystal clear that the GOP and the Tea Party are using our disappointments to the advantage of their agenda. I refuse to let this happen any longer. The simple truth is that change does not happen overnight. Let's agree, that had Obama achieved all he campaigned for in his first term, it would be his only term. Period.

So this is how I am going to conduct myself moving forward and I hope that many of my DU friends will walk with me on this. I will no longer listen to ANY criticism of President Obama that is not specifically related to his 2012 campaign strategy. I won't do it. In fact I plan on using my ignore key a hell of a lot more moving forward. This is too important and DU is now flooded with undercover GOP fascist looking to amplify our discontent in hopes that it will ultimately depress democratic momentum.

I am making this declaration of hope. I refuse to buy into the rhetoric of dissatisfaction. I'm in. Obama 2012

**** Remember this, the majority of what the President got done in his first term was actually achieved in just over 12 months. Senator Franken arrived to the Senate late after his drama with Norm Coleman and Scott Brown arrived early with the passing of Senator Kennedy. Think about it DU, that's pretty fucking impressive we achieved as much as we did. ****

2. Neither was I. Moving forward, full steam ahead.
I have not donated to the President's reelection campaign yet, however I will change that in the next twenty minutes.

3. Hope and Obama don't go together.
I have hope that someday, probably not in my lifetime, the nation and the planet will leave neoliberalism behind. Will evolve towards a socially and economically just society.

We aren't going to move forward with neo-liberals controlling one party and neo-conservatives controlling the other.

You don't have to listen. Just don't be surprised when the votes aren't there.
