Anybody want to bet on the percentage of the haul turned in by citizens?

GRAND RAPIDS -- Police today urged people who may have found stolen money, strewn along Wyoming road after a bank robbery and chase, to let authorities know they have the cash.

Bank robbers, identified as a man and woman, were caught today after leading police on a long chase in Budget Rental truck.

In that Wyoming area, they began throwing money from the truck. Police and citizens were helping collect the money.

Kent County sheriff's Lt. Kevin Kelley today advised the citizens in possession of any stolen cash need to call police.

2. Why don't they post the serial #'s of the bills?
Because they don't know what they are.

And they have no way to prove what money came from the robbery.

4. Maybe we could put donation jars in local stores and school cafeterias to help the poor bank?
IIRC, Comerica Bank abandoned its headquarters in Detroit and moved its operations to Dallas a few years back.

I'm sure Michigan citizens would flock to fill those jars.

GRAND RAPIDS – At last count, $16,000 is missing from Wednesday's bank robbery – cash tossed by robbers during a wild police chase, the FBI said.

Nearly $76,000 was stolen Wednesday morning from Comerica Bank, 857 Four Mile Road NW., when an armed robber herded workers into a vault, and locked them inside, federal court records showed.

The robber fled on a bicycle he locked outside the bank, then got into a rented Budget truck, FBI Special Agent Sean Burns wrote in a criminal complaint filed today in U.S. District Court.

The robbers tossed cash during the police pursuit that ended in front of Cesar Chavez Elementary School.

8. It would be wise to take their advice.
If you don't, you can and likely will be arrested. Many years ago in Columbus Ohio an armored car's doors opened and cash spilled out. People who thought they would keep it were found and arrested.

10. This looks like a job for NYPD Macer in Chief, Inspector Phony Baloney. Send in Baloney to
mace anyone in the vicinity until all of the cash is recovered.
