DU research needed to expose falsifications on a right-wing anti-gay state legislator's bio

You may have heard that North Carolina voters will decide in May whether or not to "amend the Constitution to provide marriage between a man and a woman is the only domestic legal union that shall be valid or recognized in this state."

The sponsor of this hateful constitutional amendment is state senator James S. Forrester, M.D. Dr. Forrester regularly cites his medical credentials to add credibility to his false claims about gay people, including his lie that "gay people die 20 years younger than everybody else."

It's been revealed that Senator Forrester's claim that he is a Fellow of the American College of Preventive Medicine is a lie. The ACPM states that not only is he not a Fellow (which they reserve as their highest honor), he is not even a member of their organization. In other words, he's blatantly lying about his affiliation.

I need DU's help. Dr. Forrester makes a lot of other claims on his official bio, including a claim that he is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the recipient of numerous awards and honors. http://www.jimforrester.net/about.htm

I suspect that some or all of his other claims are not true. Can you help me document this?

I would like to write to all the organizations that Senator Forrester claims to have been honored by and check the accuracy of his claims. I'd also like to check on his claim of being board-certified, and even his claims about his many degrees. I need help. I know that many DUers are retired - does anyone have time to help with this project?
