We're building something different here.

Ours is the only major presidential campaign that outright rejects contributions from Washington lobbyists and refuses money from special-interest PACs.

No matter what the deadline, no matter what the pressures or distractions, we're always going to do this the right way: one person and one grassroots donation at a time.

It's the hard way to do it, but we're stronger for it in the end.

So please donate $3 or more before midnight tonight:

2. I got the same message -
only I'm supposed to send $25 and have a chance at winning dinner with him.

I think I'm good with my Tombstone pizza here, I'll pass.

6. I'll be donating as much as I can today,
already gave a little a month ago. I'll also work just as hard as I did in 2008. Even more is at stake, IMO. "Disappointment"? Some, but not enough to give up/give in to the lunatic 'others'. I've said it before: I think this might be the most important election of my lifetime.

12. blueknight... I DO Understand! I Worked Very Hard For The Man...
and I "suppose" I'm going to HAVE to vote for him to prevent chaos, but I'll do NOTHING ELSE!

But I also must add, I am still sitting on the fence. I'm of 2 minds. One, we vote for him and PRAY he will "get it" the 2nd time around. OR, we vote for a no name and let the IDIOTS out there see just how awful it can get.

I'm not sure I know what to do yet. Still... NO MONEY, NO CAMPAIGNING! Not up to it this time around, and this makes me VERY SAD! I so wish I didn't feel this way.

13. I implore you not to "let the IDIOTS…see how awful it can get."
I heard that same line about Nixon when people were disgusted with Humphrey, and about Reagan when Carter's campaign collapsed under the weight of sabotage and gas-price-driven inflation.

I've been very critical of Obama, and been hoping for what I consider more enlightened policies, but…

17. Well, I Don't Think I Have Much Of A Choice. I HAVE Said I Will Vote For
Obama BECAUSE the alternative is too horrible, but some people tell me that I'm just doing the same thing over and over and wishing for a different outcome.

I feel that most of us will in the end, do THE DEED rather than risk the worst. Still, I wish I could be much happier about it.

16. I think it means that he recognizes and to some extent agrees with the Constitutional issues around
Citizens United.

I think it also communicates his recognition that we are, indeed, at a crossroads, so, as he has said during the budget death-match, he's damned if he does and he's damned if he doesn't, so he is, in fact, putting his Presidency on the table (this time financially) against the forces that robbed America.
