For the benefit of those who are posting in her thread and awaiting a reply, I had a message from her explaining her absence :

My mom hurt her ankle badly, so off to Mexico City I go again... it is nothing that serious considering her age and just how much worst it could be. It is just an extremely bad sprain with a fracture to boot... woohoo.... trust me, it could be down right lethal. So why I can have this gallows humor about it. And she was going to be here in three weeks. DANG!

But her wireless router is having ahem... issues, so if I cannot get the dang thing to work... well I will go get another one. But no, I am not going missing... or tossed... just family calling.

I am so lucky hubby understands this every time. I also thing our time in the Navy actually makes separations easier, Hey, we can talk to each other... every day... and there is email (assuming I can beat the wireless into submission).
