1. Immortal Technique.

He's a rapper from Peru that grew up in New York. He's politically active and also does a lot of charity work. His beliefs are left wing. He's not a supporter of the Democrats though, as he is generally a communist. (Not saying that as a bad thing, just the facts).

He's a really talented rapper but sometimes his content is bogus (like raps about aliens and stuff). I don't buy into that garbage, but a lot of the stuff he talks about is spot on (he's rapped about how the US propped up dictatorships in Central and South America, etc.)
