Huckabee Praises Obama
What do you think? Is he smart enough to see that moving away from the tea baggin, freeper mentality will win him the 2012 nomination?

1. Yes. Huckabee is the most charismatic of the bunch
and would be a real threat.

2. Thats what I was thinking....
that he might be that silent killer. The one that gets really no attention or fanfare up until the very end.

6. He has
the best communication skills of the republicans, by far. And while there are segments of his party that won't support him in the primaries, they all will if he gets the nomination. And then he has far more potential than the other republicans to reach across party lines.

7. The phrase "President Huckabee" would be enough to lose my vote
although if his running mate was Pee Wee Herman I might reconsider.

11. I think that
there is a very real possibility that the neocons might view Huckster as a proper vehicle to land one of their own into the Office of the Vice President. Someone with his absolute lack of foreign policy experience would have to pick a cheney-type for VP. Huckster would be the Pee Wee/George W. Bush.

13. His petition campaign needs to be attacked and destroyed.
The one where he wants to reverse the HCR.

4. I have vast differences with Huckabee.
But he does have moments of moral clarity when he admits the rightness of a policy or action. Although I want to see President Obama crush Huckabee if the Huck gets the republican nomination, I also think Huckabee, of all republicans positioning for their party's nomination, is the closet to humane that crowd can offer.

5. They should save these "Praises Obama" quotes...
Edited on Fri Jan-14-11 11:06 PM by AsahinaKimi
For when 2012 comes... Huckabee thinks the President is doing a fine job! Really? Then why should anyone vote for Huckabee...???

8. I think he's probably the biggest threat. In the past, I thought
there was no way he could compete in a general... I've rethought that. He is charismatic... He looks like Kevin Spacey.. He's got a populist streak in his speech and he would excite the base and the Religious Right. It will be interesting to see what the primary field looks like.

9. He's positioning himself for 2012.
He probably thinks if he can appear to be semi-sane, it will give him an advantage.

However, with the repuke base...it will backfire. They aren't looking for sanity.
