1. Good rule of thumb: don't compare *any* present day US politician to Hitler.
Because there really is no comparison. And if you disagree, read a book about the Holocaust.

7. You mean at any level
Because, Hitler just didn't wake up one day and was magically transformed into the monster we all know he became. It took several years, even the Holocaust really didn't start until 1939, 6 years after the Nazis came to power.

So, while there isn't one present day politician that can be compared to Hitler, if you combined all of the Republican/Tea Bagger/Theocrat spin, you could make some comparisons!

We need to remember that Hitler was able to convince an entire country to follow him, and that this didn't happen overnight!

12. Hitler *did* spew vile anti-Semitic hatred from day one.
But Hitler's anti-Semitism was infinitely worse that that of even Helen Thomas and Mel Gibson. And that's saying something.

5. LOL
I love it. The difference is . . . 'Bush REALLY IS like Hitler'

Even the late Jorg Haider was a far cry from Hitler . . . and he was an Austrian!

These comparisons never work. All they do is annoy, mislead, and disparage the memory of Hitler's actual victims.

9. We have to be careful. Limit Fascism to its true meaning
Fascism is and economic systme just as Capitalism is
an economic system. Fascism is charactierized by the Meger of the STATE and BUSINESS with Business dominantpower.

Hitler moved Germany from Fascism to Nazism a
totalinarian authoritarian systmem.

Some of us tend to conflate all of this.

Becuase of Holacaust and other atrociities of Nazism
it is best to be careful how we use Hitler references.

When using Fascism, be sure we clarify we are referencing
Fascism only as an Eonomiic System.

10. It is far easier to identify the BFEE with the Nazis by their words
and actions, then to compare Obama to Stalin or Mao or Hitler. Mainly because Obama has no traits of those three, yet the BFEE shows traits of the Nazi Party. It really is that simple.
