Freedom Plaza protest in DC.

It's noisy down here at OWS today and there are fewer workers and more protesters than usual.

Caddy-corner to Liberty Park is the WTC site. The protesters and the WTC site make for an odd juxtaposition. The symbolism is interesting.

There are rumors that the powers that be don't want this to go on much longer. Things may be coming to a head soon.

Just sayin'

Just sayin that disseminating rumors that suggest "the powers that be don't want this to go on much longer...." and that "things may be coming to a head soon".... is just the kind of thing that infiltrators would want to get going--those that WANT to seed a violent episode.

I'm NOT saying that is your intent by any means, but I caution you about this kind of rumor-mongering. There are those who would truly benefit from it--and it is NOT the protestors. Don't allow yourself to become their pawn. :shrug:

I'm not talking about the protesters becoming violent. I've seen them almost every day. These people make Gandhi look like Charles Manson. And I'm well aware of what infiltrators do; that doesn't seem to be happening yet.

My point was that there will be pressure from some quarters to put an end to this. I'm talking about a police crackdown. Bloomberg will resist that pressure because violence would be the worst thing that could happen to the City and him. The only smart play is to let it run its course, whatever that may be. Other people here and elsewhere will not be so intelligent.
