Pat Buchanan just said on MSNBC...
...the reason President Obama has a higher approval rating among females (than males) is because there are a lot of young, single women that depend on the government, therefore that's why over 50% of women support him.

Really?

How is this man allowed on TV?

10. If you watch any of the political spew shows, you can't avoid him.
He's everywhere, like dog shit. Even on the shows I sympathize with in the MSNBC evening Liberal lineup.
Which is why I try not to watch them anymore, either. I wish I could wean my husband off them, too.

42. I haven't had TV in my house for more than twenty years.
This results in great improvement in Quality of Life, Serenity of Thought, Intelligence of Discourse, and blood pressure.

Buchanan isn't included among the Assorted Mixed Wingnuts that Public Radio has on from time to time.

I suppose getting rid of the husband in order to get rid of the TV might seem a little extreme.

In my case, it was worth it.

46. It's a great solution....I guess.
But I have a shameful admission. I kinda love TV. I wander around the dial and discover stuff that I really like. . (Like "House" reruns.)
And no, I don't think I'll get rid of husband. Distracting treats is probably the answer.
NPR presents a fairly and blessedly bland diet of discourse. But every once in a while, they get me screaming at them too.

48. I got rid of a wife to get rid of a TV
The real question is why anybody turns on the propaganda machine. The only answer I have is pure mental laziness.
I think that's the appeal of the tea party. All your opinions are in the can ready for response. No thought required.

51. Women make less than men, which saved them their jobs apparently
I heard on the evil propaganda box (TV) that 75% of the workers laid off or downsized out of jobs in the current recession are men. Women were spared from a lot of the pain of this recession/Bush's Depression.

Seriously--why is Buchanan allowed on the air? If any Left commentator made statements even remotely as offensive, they'd have been banished to the dry lands years ago!

But Buchanan rolls back into the studio week after week to dispense another dose of unsubtle hate-speech.

:wtf:

7. Pat is rapidly losing his mind.
And I need to make one tiny correction to your title ....

You can't say that Pat "said" something because his every syllable is "screamed".

He screams all his points because that way you will know that they are true.

So your title should really be ...

"Pat Buchanan just screamed on MSNBC...", that would be more accurate.

But either way, the guy is nuts.

12. Nah, it's because they think Obama's cute
Pat doesn't understand the way women think at all. They like Obama because he's cute. If the Republicans could get a tall, good looking, black guy to run for president, and he sounded educated and said the right words, they would vote Republican by the bushel.

Politics requires a certain amount of cute-factor. But it's impossible for cute minorities to join the GOP.

14. pat also said "a religious war going on in our country"
My friends, this election is about much more than who gets what. It is about who we are. It is about what we believe. It is about what we stand for as Americans. There is a religious war going on in our country for the soul of America. It is a cultural war, as critical to the kind of nation we will one day be as was the Cold War itself. And in that struggle for the soul of America, Clinton & Clinton are on the other side, and George Bush is on our side. And so, we have to come home, and stand beside him. http://www.buchanan.org/pa-92-0817-rnc.html">link

As Molly Ivins said, "that the speech had "probably sounded better in the original German."

pat's just trying to hide his part in helping to create the current climate of hatred in the name of "religion" he helped foment in the repub party.

28. He spent years attacking mostly gay people so the majority
thought he was very amusing. That is why he is on TV. Because when he said things that should have caused outrage, what he got was fan mail. So he built a huge base of haters, and lots of others who did not really mind it when he went after us. And the Jews, he's always been after them too. Like Phelps, until he started going after straights, his rhetoric was considered acceptable, just like Donnie McClurkin's is considered to be acceptable by the Obama family. What can you say?
First, he came for the gays, but I was not gay, so I tuned in!
Then he came for the Jews, but I was not a Jew....

Make a bed, you sleep in that bed.
