John Boehner as Speaker of the House...anybody worried?

Given all the rhetoric about "second amendment solutions", and with John Boehner now 3rd in line to the Presidency...what are the chances that we'll see an escalation in violence from the far-right? Personally, I have faith in our Secret Service to protect our leaders, but doesn't mean that nutjobs won't try.

I really don't get Democratic criticism of Nancy Pelosi. She delivered her caucus on virtually everything she was asked to deliver on. To the extent Congress was unable to get certain things done, the fault lies with the Blue Dog Democratic members of the Senate, and with a President who frequently left Nancy Pelosi twisting in the wind after she had delivered her caucus' votes.

Well, mostly fear I suppose. He's either gonna get an A or a big fat F, but my money's on the latter.

Agent Orange is going to have to step up and actually work now. Since he apparently can't go past about 5:30 without booze, he'll never stand the strain of being Speaker. He's already failed miserably in the last week or two.

I really don't think he's up to the job. He's a complete mess. He can't speak in public without blubbering, and that will quickly wear thin with the media and the public. Late night TV hosts and comedy writers must be licking their chops right about now.

Lastly, the teabagger movement will eat him alive if he doesn't get the votes lined up to kill any vote on raising the debt ceiling. He's totally screwed either way.

Yeah, it's a scary thing, but I'm confident in his incompetence. Six months from now I'll bet he's in the political toilet. If I'm wrong, then we'll really be in deep shit.
