Rep. Gabrielle Giffords' husband Mark Kelly Interview-Gabby gives him back rub

Rep. Gabrielle Giffords' husband says despite the remarkable progress his wife has made since being shot in the head, she still faces a months-long road to recovery.

"Gabby's got a long road ahead of her," astronaut Mark Kelly tells ABC's Diane Sawyer in an interview set to air Tuesday on "Good Morning America."

"The recovery from these kinds of injuries isn't measured in days and weeks. It's more like weeks and months. And so she's got a long, tough road ahead of her. But, you know, she's a really, really tough woman," he said.

As Giffords' condition was upgraded from critical to serious over the weekend, she has improved enough to sit up and give Kelly a back rub.
