Although I'd heard his voice many times online, this was the first time I'd met YouTube user 'hungrybear9562' in person.

Here's the lowdown: His real name is Paul Vasquez, but he likes to be called simply 'Bear'. His first ever camera was an 8mm. He loves bikes - lots.

And while he lives just outside Yosemite National Park in east central California, he has fans in New Zealand.

"It starts mellow then it gets wild," one of his Kiwi fans tells 3 News. "It's amazing, it made me so happy. I mean, I had a rough day and watched it and laughed, and it's just brilliant, man."

"It wasn't just a rainbow, it was a complete disc of colour, and I was like, man, that looks like a giant eyeball. What can have an eyeball that big? And I thought that must be God! God has his eye on me.
