CONFIRMED: #OWS Surrounded Goldman Sachs HQ Chanting "Arrest George Bush" w/ GW Inside
Edited on Wed Nov-02-11 08:15 PM by kpete
8:42 PM - HOLY SHIT. George W. Bush was at Goldman Sachs, and didn't leave until the bulk of the protesters left.

A group of Occupy Wall Street protesters this evening encircled Goldman Sachs' Headquarters in New York City, where it was rumored that George W. Bush was meeting with executives.

The crowd of about 200 chanted, "Arrest George Bush" on end before convening an impromptu General Assembly at the foot of the Goldman Sachs' building, which is just blocks from Zuccotti Park.

Once the bulk of the protesters had decided to leave, a heavy police presence escorted someone out of the building. Ryan Devereaux, of Democracy Now, was able to confirm that GW was indeed within the building as protesters screamed for his arrest:

NYPD told us step back, five cars-two NYPD, three unmarked-sped out Goldman. I asked senior white shirt if it was Bush, he said "Yeah." #OWS

11. K & R - Schadenfreude just doesn't get any better than this...almost.
The only thing better would be to see Chimpy taunted by 2000 protesters instead of a mere 200, or better yet--on trial at the Hague for war crimes.

23. That last one
Arrested and prosecuted for his many crimes. This should not require protestors, all it needs is the application of the impartial rule of law.

13. If there is justice in this Universe,
GWB will never be able to openly travel again. May he be forced to live his social life in secret, for the rest of his life.

If he isn't eventually jailed. I'd prefer that, of course, but I'll settle for the whole "leper in polite company" schtick if I must.

15. I hope he can never again go give speeches anywhere on the planet
He should be turned into a pariah for the rest of his life. Worse than OJ Simpson. It would be good if he couldn't ever make another cent doing the circuit speeches. Let him live in his home behind locked doors in paranoid fear. let him live with the stark knowledge of the inescapable loathing of all Americans and all the world towards him.

He should live knowing he will never escape the judgement of history.

These fucking war criminals running all over. God dammit President Obama this was a fucking slam dunk and you fucked up! Prosecuting these assholes would have kept the Republicons under a rock for the next 30 years.

39. Not really, prosecuting a former president would only
enrage the 1/2 of the country that thinks GWB is a saint. Then the next time the repubs are in power they'd arrest the former dem administration. This would end with each half of the country trying to arrest the other half.

Obama was far too smart to setup this kind of endless retribution that neither side can win.

I appreciate your passion to see Bush punished, but I see no chance of that happening.

44. Absolutely!
No president should look the other way when a crime of this magnitude has been committed. GWB is responsible for the deaths of thousands of innocent people. Our military personnel have been maimed and killed because he sent them into harm's way for his lies. Obama's inaction on this is inexcusable and indefensible.

I'm 70. I haven't felt like there's anyone standing up for me until now! I know this is the real deal, too. They're afraid once again of the citizens!

For years I've been stuffing those pre-paid envelopes the big banks send me with their own trashy crap. This time I wrote "OWS" on every piece I put into the envelope to mail back to them at their own expense!

The people are speaking!
