I'm sensing something, not sure what
Edited on Wed Nov-02-11 11:12 PM by MannyGoldstein
So Elizabeth Warren shows herself to be a proud, authentic, fire-brathing FDR Democrat. Gets ejected from Washington, runs for senator in Massachusetts, is immediately the wildly-favored Democratic frontrunner.

President Obama makes a few cautious steps towards acknowledging that the 99% might potentially be in a situation that they possibly perceive to be non-optimal, and his poll numbers rise.

I sense some sort of a trend here, but I'm not sure what it is. Very puzzling.

5. For What It's Worth.....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5M_Ttstbgs">For What It's Worth

there's something happinin here
what it is aint exactly clear
theres a man with a gun over there
tellin me i got to beware

i think it's time we stop, children
what's that sound
everybody look what's goin down

there's battle lines being drawn
nobody's right if everybody's wrong
young people speakin there minds
getting so much resistance far behind

it's time we stop,
hey what's that sound
everybody look what's goin down

what a field day for the heat
a thousand people in the street
singin songs that they carry inside
mostly say hurray for our side

it's time we stop,
hey what's that sound
everybody look what's goin down

there are lawyer strikes deep
into your life it will creep
it starts when your always afraid
step out of line the man come and take you away

you better stop
hey what's that sound
everybody look what's going down

10. It's like a vacuum. Everyone wants someone who is not an idiot to fill the space.
Elizabeth Warren is the one more willing to say it like it is. If the President even inches toward her, he benefits. Like a windsock, you just need a light breeze.

I see a hurricane coming, really. These conditions are quite remarkable.

15. What's the Abe Lincoln quote -
You can fool most people some of the time, but you can't fool them forever. Something like that.

People getting REAL tired of not being represented in DC, by either party.

22. The trends are building.
1. OWS is having an effect. (Not the direct effect I wanted but an effect, nonetheless.)
2. The Republican law-makers are self-destructing before our eyes. Fiddling while Rome burns.
3. The cast and crew of next year's Republican primary are ludicrous beyond measure. (Hint: it is NOT a conspiracy to put Jeb Bush in the spotlight next time. They really are reaching for the bottom of the barrel.)
4. The idea of a 'frictionless economy' has gone as far as it can go and we have no choice but to pull back.
5. Republican governors in several states have overreached and pissed off their constituencies.
6. Elizabeth Warren.

All good signs. Can anyone think of more?

24. Fewer trial balloons being floated on gutting Social Security
Only two members of the Obama administration have called OWS "unhelpful", and Obama himself has not (but hasn't endorsed OWS, of course).

Talk about withdrawing from Vietghanistan next year.

26. reality rearing its ugly head?
99 percent of the people waking up to the reality of their lives and their spoiled futures burdened by debt and welded to jobs they may hate but are so "lucky" to have they can't consider moving on?

i hope what we are seeing is a real sea change. history in the making. it just has to be.
