So it's going to be Romney / Cain?

Romney shores up the traditional republican voter. Looks nice in a suit etc...oh and he's a job creator or something. Brings in 55% of the independant voter.

Cain shores up the crazies, brings in the unbridled Koch money, as VP he won't be in the spotlight as much. And everyone knows 11 months out that he isn't very smart - and they don't care. 5% of the independents vote for him, 100% of the crazies.

And it won't be Cain. This will be the lamest Republican primary ever. May as well be Romney by his little ol' self.

8. Jeb in '16.
Guaranteed. And people will forget the past and vote for him. He's charismatic and much smarter than his brother & dad. He has always terrified me.

3. It won't go that smoothly -- it never does.
And Cain is a loose cannon -- with at least the loose-cannon-damage potential exhibited by Palin in 2008.

4. Cain is not a viable candidate, never was, never will be.
Romney is in fucking hiding. He's avoiding having to come out and play with the inmates. He understands that while the field is still full of Bachmann's he's going to have to lay low so he doesn't say anything that can be used against him when he gets the nod. Romney is a greedy scumbag but he's not stupid, and Cain will never be part of any Republican ticket. It's like a joke that has gone on too long.

Coulter showed us just how the Republicans really feel about Herman Cain... "Our blacks are better then their blacks"...

5. They'd like to steal a few percentage points of the African American vote
That would be bad for Obama

9. Very few black people will vote for Herman Cain.
The vast majority of black folk reliably vote their best interests, as any sensible people do. You watch. No one black but the already right-wingers, or maybe some evangelicals, will vote for Cain.

11. I've read that peeling 5% of that vote could tank Obama
Don't know if there is truth to it but a black pundit said their mom likes him for his simplicity..

12. Don't believe those Repub tools.
Don't worry. It will be negligible. And remember, people vote for the top of the ticket. And if that's Mittens, Cain won't help him in the General Election.

14. Romney won't give Cain the VP slot
Cain is such a loose cannon, that would be a risky pick. Romney seems a cautious guy if anything, and would pick a "safe' mainstream VP pick methinks.

15. How can Romney win with only 20 - 25% of his own party's support?
You take Bachmann, Gingrich, Perry, Santorum, and even Paul out of the race and most of their support will go to whichever anti-Romney is left.

I didn't even think he was in the running anymore, but they may try to get him in for VP.
