Although there are many positive reviews of this company, this one from Jan. 14 (if not a plant), should be considered:
I was told when I switched to Credo from AT&T that Credo would pay a contract buyout up to $200 per line transferred. I was told by the Sales Representative that my bill would be $79 per month, which was much cheaper than AT&T. I proceeded to transfer my wife's and my number.
My first bill came and it was high due to connection fees, which I had expected. I submitted my final bill from ATT to Credo for the contract buyout credit on 10/01/10.
My second bill came and my bill was still over $100 and so was the case the next month. I then realized I had been deceived by the company and wanted out of my contract. Since I did not know I would be paying way more than promised per month until after the 90 day period, I requested that my early termination fees be waived and that they proceed with the processing of my contract buyout credit. I was told no final bill from ATT was never received.
Credo asked me to resubmit my final bill from ATT. Credo said that they would submit the request to corporate for my early termination fee waiver, and call me back in 48 hours to follow up. We agreed to wait until we received the call back from Credo to cancel our account. No call was ever received from Credo. We submitted our final bill from AT&T a second time to Credo on 10-08-2010 via fax (415-371-1048) and email (contractbuyout@credomobile.com). After waiting two weeks I called Credo to cancel my account and was told that they showed no record of the request for contract buyout or early termination fee waiver, but said that they would submit the request for both and call me back in 48 hours to follow up.
I received a final bill from Credo totaling over $400 that did not show a credit for early termination fees or a contract buyout, so I called to inquire the last week of November. I was told that I did not qualify for an early termination fee waiver and I was also told that my contract buyout request and final ATT bill was never received. I submitted the request again this time via certified mail to: c-works 625 willow springs lane york, PA. 17406. I received the green confirmation of receipt card a few days later that verified Credo received the final bill from ATT on 12/08/2010.
I waited until the 13 of December and called back. I was told by a customer service representative that since I was no longer a customer I did not qualify for the credit of my ATT cancelation fees. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was connected with "Rayleene". She told me that she would submit my request to corporate and that it would more than likely be approved and that I would see the credit applied by 01/03/2011. She also said she would call me back in 2-3 days to follow up. She never called back and is now unreachable.
I called Credo today 01/10/2011 at 2:46pm CST I spoke with a supervisor and was told that the credit request had not yet been reviewed and told that she would submit the request to corporate. I then asked for the direct number to corporate and was given the number to a customer liaison named Yvonne 1-888-507-3247. I left a message and am waiting for a call back.
