Breaking-tornado on the griound in Oklahoma

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for 17 counties in Oklahoma, and a tornado warning has been issued until 3 p.m. for Greer County, northern Harmon County and extreme northwestern Kiowa County, all in southwest Oklahoma.

At 2:14 p.m., the National Weather Service radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado 6 miles south of Vinson, moving northeast at 35 mph. Locations in the warning include Brinkman, McKnight, Vinson and Willow.

Officials say an Oklahoma State University extension field office was destroyed as tornadoes touched down in southwestern Oklahoma.

No injuries have been reported in Monday's storms. A home and a hay barn were also damaged and a storm chaser's vehicle was overturned.

7. In places like TX and OK, tornadoes hit in winter, too
Oklahoma City is a hotbed of tornado activity. :(

8. Not exactly
From what I understand, there are 2 seasons. Spring is the worst, and as summer comes, the storms move up north into where I am (Canada), then they move back down again in the fall where there is often a second 'mini' tornado season.

Near cracked anything due to quake, keep your distance and stay safe.

6. been quite a year for Oklahoma
Crazy winter storm, the tornado Super Outbreak in May, record hot summer, earthquake, and now more tornadoes in November.
