MUNCIE -- A donation to Ball State University from alumnus David Letterman has brought major business, media and academic figures to campus -- including Letterman himself last year -- to talk about the latest issues in communication and emerging media.
Letterman, the host of CBS's "Late Show," had such a good time last year, hosting a conversation on social media with Twitter co-founder Biz Stone, that he is coming back this year for a conversation with Rachel Maddow.
Maddow, whose latest thesis is that Herman Cain is actually a performance artist punking America, hosts MSNBC's prime-time hit, "The Rachel Maddow Show," which features her take on the biggest political and other stories of the day, including debate with guests.
Letterman's conversation with Maddow is scheduled for 4 p.m. Dec. 2, after which Ball State officials expect Maddow's show that night to be broadcast from campus.
