MPD will either force them onto one side of the Mall where it's easy to railroad them into a police net or coerce them onto Cap Hill where the added manpower of the Park Police and US Capitol Police combined with the extant barricades, one way streets and unmarked dead-ends will end this rapidly...or they'll let them run themselves out of room.

53. I remember when someone tried to do this when Clinton was president.

He was all the way behind the fence and shooting at the White House, and if I remember correctly, it was some kind of submachine gun that was totally not designed for that long of a shot, to say nothing of the fact that he probably had no idea where Clinton was at that moment anyways.

It's unfortunate that we have people out there who don't respect the fact that this is who we chose to be the president, or respect the idea that if they want someone else in the White House they're just going to have to do the work to get enough people to vote their guy in, but at least when it does happen, it's usually someone crazy enough to not be able to pull it off.

My thoughts are with the Secret Service agents working hard tonight; I hope they catch this guy easily and without any hassle.
