How can OccupyOakland unmask the Black Bloc nonviolently?

I'm not suggesting running up and tearing clothing off these idiot individuals (as much as I might want to)- everyone has the right to hide their identity and if you set that standard where does it stop? But what about having people tail and document these dickheads? Would that be appropriate or overly intrusive? I am unsure of the answer and glad that we at OccupyAustin don't have to deal with them. But there has to be a way to identify them through nonviolent direct action. This is one instance where the cops coul actually help the movement.

but they'd have to be very, very careful.

In the meantime, everybody needs to move as far away from the violent punks as they can, isolate them and make it clear the punks are on their own.

Ever been hit by paintballs? Players wear armor for good reason. Risk of permanent injury is also fairly high

3. I think you miss the bigger picture in regards to the benefit that they play to law enforcement...

They know EXACTLY who these folks are, and they depend on them to do the dirty work; the instigating that they might otherwise be found guilty of.

They could very well stop the actions of this extreme minority.

They play the Black Bloc as their pawns in order to initiate their heavy-handed response to OWS supporters.
