Sunday Talk Shows

Meet The Press -Pa. Gov. Corbett
After national outrage over alleged sexual abuse of children at Penn State, questions abound: Was there a cover-up or conspiracy of silence within the university and the football program? What are the repercussions for Penn State? And is there a larger question about how some institutions become too big and therefore complacent about policing their own? Joining us: Republican Governor of Pennsylvania and member of the Penn State Board of Trustees, Tom Corbett

DNC Chair Wasserman Schultz-We’ll go inside the president’s re-election fight and assess the Republican field with the Chairwoman of the DNC, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL). Plus, her take on this week’s election results across the country.

Michele Bachmann- Republican presidential candidate Rep. Michele Bachmann joins us to discuss the 2012 race, the latest on the Cain controversy, and what she sees as a path to victory for her campaign. How can she boost her poll numbers in a crowded GOP field?

Roundtable-After a week clouded by allegations of sexual harassment, where does Herman Cain's campaign go from here? Did Rick Perry's campaign suffer a fatal blow after his performance in the debate this week? Plus, more on the national conversation in the wake of the Penn State scandal. A special discussion with the New York Times’ David Brooks and the Washington Post’s EJ Dionne

ABC This Week- Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett
Legendary college football coach Joe Paterno is brought down by a sexual abuse scandal that engulfed Penn State this week. As a football icon and top college brass stand accused of not stopping an alleged pedophile in their midst, we examine the fallout with Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett

As state attorney general, Corbett launched the sex abuse investigation that has exploded into public view. While criminal charges are brought against Penn State officials who did not report the abuse, who else should be held accountable? How will the Penn State community and the victims of abuse recover?

Then, it was the "oops" heard around the world. After a damage-control media tour, can Texas Gov. Rick Perry recover from his debate night debacle, or is his campaign down for the count? Will Rick Perry's slide be Newt Gingrich's gain, as the former House speaker continues to move up in the polls?

And is Herman Cain the Teflon candidate? Despite a continued storm over sexual harassment allegations, Cain remains steady atop the Republican presidential field, as presumptive front-runner Mitt Romney fails to take back the lead less than two months before the first 2012 votes are cast.

An extended "This Week" roundtable tackles the race for the Republican nomination and all the week's politics, with George Will, Democratic strategist Donna Brazile, conservative radio host Dana Loesch, and ABC News senior political correspondent Jonathan Karl. Plus, USA Today columnist and ABC News contributor Christine Brennan joins the roundtable to discuss the sexual abuse scandal engulfing Penn State.

Plus, a new report from United Nations weapons inspectors paints a troubling picture, presenting new evidence that Iran has continued key actions toward building a nuclear weapon. How close is Iran to reaching nuclear capability, and how should the United States and the international community respond? Are diplomatic pressure and sanctions enough, or should military action be on the table?

The "This Week" panel, with former U.N. weapons inspector David Albright and Karim Sadjadpour, an analyst at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, discuss the fallout from this week's International Atomic Energy Agency report and what comes next in efforts to stop Iran's nuclear program.

CBS Face The Nation -Who's up? Who's down? And what's next for the GOP presidential candidates after Saturday's CBS News/National Journal debate in South Carolina? Bob talks to Senator Lindsey Graham and Governors Haley Barbour and Martin O'Malley about the politics of the week

Republican presidential candidate Jon Huntsman, former U.S. Ambassador to China, sits down with Bob the morning after the CBS News/National Journal debate on national security and foreign policy.

Fresh perspective on politics and the campaign from CBS News Political Analyst John Dickerson, National Journal's Major Garrett, Washington Post columnist Kathleen Parker, and former White House Press Secretary Dee Dee Myers

CNN State of The Union-A hard look at the Super Committee, the GOP presidential field, and city economics. First, an exclusive interview with the Co-chair of the Super Committee, Republican Congressman Jeb Hensarling of Texas. Amid the flurry of competing proposals, will the committee meet its deadline to avoid $1.2 trillion in automatic cuts? We’ll ask him.

Then, the Senate perspective with two men advocating different ways for the committee to “go big”: Democratic Senator Mark Warner of Virginia and Republican Senator Tom Coburn of Oklahoma.

Also, we get a lay of the GOP field from an insider: Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus

And finally, the first installment of our “America’s Cities” series, a look at mayors trying to bring jobs back to their city. We start with the President of the U.S. Conference of Mayors, Antonio Villaraigosa, mayor of Los Angeles.
