Ex-porn star reading to LA students causes stir

COMPTON, Calif. — Some parents have filed complaints with the Parent-Teacher Association after a former adult film star said she read to children in a classroom at a Los Angeles County elementary school.

Sasha Grey, a 23-year-old ex-porn actress who has appeared in mainstream shows like HBO's "Entourage," was a guest earlier this month at Compton's Emerson Elementary School for Read Across America Day.

Grey tweeted Nov. 2 that she spent the day reading to "the sweetest" students in the first and third grades.

KTLA-TV quoted parents questioning whether it was appropriate to have Grey at the school. Parent Dudley Wheaton wondered why the school couldn't find a fireman or a police officer to read to students.

Although I disagree with her past professional choice I don't think that reading to children will cause any harm.

If not,what was the big deal? If so, there should be more concern about the parents who let their young children watch so much porn they recognize individual porn actors.

i think they were more concerned that someone was trying to read to them and get them interested in books

and as far as the parents go they should be happy that someone is concerned about their children
and someone is trying to make the world a better place

and if any of the adults have a christian attitude then they better not have sinned

She is fairly intelligent, so I suppose she connected the dots fairly quickly of the increasing exploitation happening in the porn industry.
