There is nothing but peaceful protest at occupy Portland.

The police have not attacked anyone. The one cop that was down fell off his bike. It was an accident.

Watch the live stream and stop with the bull shit!

1. Thank you, that is what almost everyone who is there, on the
livestream, has been saying all night also.

3. Except some people said "army of militarized police attacking American Citizens"...
...with regards to Portland. Strange how easily the truth is twisted...

7. Why do you continually attempt to twist what people say?
The PLAN was to evict Occupy Portland, and yes, they arrived as a militarized force, with mounted and riot police and announced early on that there would be 'chemicals' in the air and anyone who resisted their orders would be arrested. They also had military sound equipment, reported early on on livestream which we HEARD.

The only thing that stopped another Oakland, Oct 25th, was that thousands of people from other towns, arrived to prevent it.

I hope that is clear enough for you. You have a habit of jumping into things, late, without knowing the facts, and then twisting them to suit your own agenda.

8. The OP said "the police have not attacked anyone." Which is it?
I'm not twisting anything, you say one thing and then say another, in the breadth of one fucking post, even. Jesus.

As far as "arriving late" I've been following it all night, I only came to DU to post as it escalated and it appeared that the police were actually going to do what they said they were going to do. Which they didn't.

10. The police intended to attack. Is that hard for you to understand?
You were late to this conversation. The police did ride their horses into the protesters but had to pull back because of the crowds. They DID announce they intended to use 'chemicals'. They had every intention of attacking the protesters and made it clear. They were unable to carry out their plans, as happened in NYC, because of the thousands of people who arrived to stop them. The fact that there was no riot in the end, was NOT due to the police being 'peaceful', it was due to the protesters who arrived to prevent another police riot.

Why this is such a hard thing for you to grasp, is beyond me.

11. Please don't belittle me. It went down just as Denver did, and it was fully predictable.
I admit I had my doubts but Denver showed that when mass consciousness happens the police back down. What people aren't discussing is how Occupy Denver actually got raided last night, and it resulted in mass arrests because the mass consciousness was not there.

You said, flat out, that they were attacked. They were not. Occupy Denver was attacked last night. Occupy Portland was besieged but not attacked. Words have meanings.

12. They WERE attacked. When the government sends in a
force like that against its own people, that certainly is an attack. It is an attack on our constitutional rights that is even considered to be acceptable.

As for your 'predictions', looks like you were wrong. They had to delay their physical attack, as I said, but today, they are carrying out their mission against the American people, 'as predicted'.

9. The police have their own interests.
The fact that they escalated shows that they were winging it and not appreciating the insurmountable odds that they faced. I'd give them more credit if they didn't escalate to begin with or if there were defections after the escalation began.
